McLeish has been linked with the likes of Scott Dann and Ben Foster following his controversial switch from St Andrew's to Villa Park. It was suggested the manner of McLeish's acrimonious departure from Birmingham could make moves for any Blues players difficult. However, McLeish has admitted he would consider raiding his old club if it improved his team at Villa. "I know there are many good Blues players there but the policy that I have always maintained is not to talk about other clubs' players," said McLeish. "I'm getting bombarded with text messages off agents - we are just going to assess things at the moment. "If I thought a (Birmingham) player could improve Aston Villa Football Club why not?"
