Former Scottish Premier League midfielder Steven McGarry has re-signed with the A-League's Perth Glory for another season.
McGarry, who played with St. Mirren, Ross County and most recently Motherwell in his native Scotland before signing with Perth in 2010, said in a statement Wednesday ''my preference was always to stay with Perth Glory in a city that has made me and my family extremely welcome.''
The 32-year-old McGarry said the prospect of playing in the Asian Champions League was a reason for his decision to stay with the club that lost the grand final 2-1 to Brisbane Roar on April 22.
McGarry played a key role in Perth's run to the championship match, scoring four goals.
