McClaren marks Eredivisie return with win

Englishman Steve McClaren marked his second stint as FC Twente coach with a 5-0 win over RKC Waalwijk on Saturday.

Luuk de Jong scored either side of half-time while Emir Barjami and Naser Chadli netted a goal each before winger Ola John curled in the fifth in the 81st.

The former England manager guided Twente to its first Dutch league championship in 2010 before joining Wolfsburg in the German first division.

Twente stayed third with 36 points, two less than leader AZ Aklmaar, which plays Ajax Sunday.

PSV Eindhoven, which has 37, hosts Vitesse Arnhem Sunday.

Also Saturday, Bas Dost scored in each half as SC Heerenveen beat De Graafschap 2-0.

Excelsior Rotterdam stunned NAC Breda for a 3-0 win with Rangelo Janga, Roland Alberg and Darren Maatsen scoring for the hosts.
