AEK Athens says Manuel Jimenez will sign a contract on Saturday to coach the Greek club.
State-run television says the 46-year-old former Spanish international will commit to a two-year contract with an annual salary of ?750,000 ($1 million).
Jimenez will replace Dusan Bajevic after the 62-year-old Bosnian Serb quit on Sept. 27 following complaints his players had ignored his instructions in a 3-1 loss at newcomer Olympiakos Volou.
Jimenez also used to coach Sevilla.
AEK is currently seventh in Greece's 16-team league standings, five points behind leader Olympiakos. AEK also plays in the group stage of the Europa League.
