Malaga's Baptista to undergo foot surgery

Malaga says Brazilian striker Julio Baptista will undergo surgery on his right foot and be sidelined for two more months.

The 30-year-old Baptista hasn't played since scoring his only goal of the season in Malaga's 3-2 win over Getafe on Oct. 1.

The Spanish club says Baptista's operation to remove a bone fragment is scheduled for Wednesday.

Malaga is in sixth place in the Spanish league.
