Peterborough chairman Darragh MacAnthony has assured supporters he will not let them down in the transfer market this summer.

Following relegation from the Championship and with several high-profile names subsequently placed on the transfer list, including skipper Tommy Rowe, Gaby Zakuani, club-record signing Tyrone Barnett and fellow striker Emile Sinclair, Peterborough fans head into the close season with an air of uncertainty surrounding their club.

However, MacAnthony insists there will not be a lot of movement in or out of London Road this summer and has urged Posh supporters to ignore speculation.

"Relax. You won't be let down," MacAnthony said via his Twitter account.

"Those fans who are fretting about gossip and idle speculation remember that managers/players/staff come and go, but only if it's good for our club and on our terms.

"The club and its fans are more important then any one individual and I owe our fans next season."
