Michel Bastos scored twice as Lyon beat Hapoel Tel Aviv 3-1 away on Wednesday to stay perfect in Group D of the Champions League.
The Brazil international opened the scoring with an eighth-minute penalty and added his second nine minutes before the break.
Hapoel goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama pulled a goal back with a penalty in the 79th but Miralem Pjanic made the game safe for the visitors in stoppage time.
The result lifts Lyon onto six points - three more than Schalke and Benfica - and relieved some of the pressure on coach Claude Puel, whose side has struggled in the French league with just one win in seven matches.
