Epinal continued their brilliant run in this season's Coupe de France by beating Ligue 2 side Nantes on penalties to reach the last 16.

The third-tier side had already knocked holders Lyon out on penalties in the previous round, and repeated the trick against Nantes after conceding a last-minute equaliser.

Valentin Focki gave the home side the lead on 59 minutes, only for substitute Filip Djordjevic to send the tie into extra time with a 90th-minute equaliser.

However, Epinal were not to be denied and after no winner could be found in extra time, they triumphed 4-3 on penalties.

Ligue 2 side Le Havre avoided a similar upset at Avenir Foot Lozere, although it took until the 79th minute for Alexandre Bonnet to open the scoring. Sosthene Bah (85) and a last-minute penalty from Walid Mesloub added a gloss to the scoreline.

Ligue 1 strugglers Troyes were more comfortable winners at Fontenay, securing a 5-0 victory.

Dos Santos Marcos opened the scoring on 29 minutes and Gregory Bettiol doubled the lead just before half-time. Jean-Cristophe Bahebeck made it 3-0 seven minutes from the end, while there was still time for fellow substitute Fabien Camus to score twice in the last two minutes.

Lorient were made to work harder to secure their place in the last 16, edging past Ligue 2 Sedan 1-0 thanks to a 56th-minute goal from Ludovic Giuly.

And Evian also advanced with a 2-0 win at USSA Vertou, Kevin Berigaud (23) and Youssef Adnane (90) scoring the goals.

The game between Rouen and Marseille was postponed for safety reasons following a leak from a chemical plant in the area.
