Lloris: I need more games
Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris believes he still needs to play more matches to fully earn the trust of manager Andre Villas-Boas.
Lloris has made eight appearances in all competitions for Spurs since joining from Lyon in the summer, but has started only twice in the Premier League as he competes with Brad Friedel for the No.1 spot.
However, the France international has started all of Spurs' Europa League games and earned the praised of Villas-Boas for his performance in Thursday's 0-0 draw away to Lazio.
"It was nice for me and for Tottenham to have got one point as we aim for qualification," Lloris told BelNSport1. "Personally I did well.
"I try to do my very best, whatever the match or the opponent. I still need to play more matches to get more trust."
Spurs' focus now returns to domestic matters and Lloris is hoping for positive results from two games at White Hart Lane over the next week.
He added on the club's official website: "We wanted the three points for qualification but it was a difficult game against a great team in Lazio. They were very good, had lots of possession and it was difficult for us to find any space.
"We didn't play that well but sometimes when you play like that it's important not to lose, we did that, so that's good for our confidence.
"We now have two important home games against West Ham (on Sunday) and Liverpool (next Wednesday) and we'll have to be ready for both."
