Nelson Maz had given Leon the lead with a goal after 27 minutes but the visitors were denied all three points when substitute Matias Abelairas equalised with 23 minutes remaining.
A goal each for Morelia and Tigres Monterrey in the space of five second half minutes ensured the points were shared after a 1-1 draw.
Lucas Lobos gave the visitors the lead with a penalty after 66 minutes but Miguel Sabah levelled the scores with Morelia's goal five minutes later.
