Last-place Lecce has fired Eusebio Di Francesco and hired Serse Cosmi as its new manager, marking the eighth coaching change in the Italian league this season.
The club made the announcement late Sunday, a day after a 4-2 loss at Napoli left the squad with just two wins and eight points from 13 matches.
Cosmi - known for wearing a baseball cap - has formerly managed Perugia, Genoa, Udinese, Brescia, Livorno and Palermo.
The Serie A firing spree began in August when Roberto Donadoni (Cagliari) and Stefano Pioli (Palermo) were sacked before the season began. The other firings were Gian Piero Gasperini (Inter Milan), Pierpaolo Bisoli (Bologna), Marco Giampaolo (Cesena), Sinisa Mihajlovic (Fiorentina) and Massimo Ficcadenti (Cagliari).
