Koller moves to Cannes
Veteran striker Jan Koller has left Russian club Krylya Sovetov
Samara to join French third division side AS Cannes.
The 36-year-old former Czech Republic international signed a
1 1/2-year contract on Monday, with the player's agent Pavel Paska
saying Cannes should be the final foreign club of Koller's career.
Koller previously played in France's Ligue 1 for Monaco
before moving to FC Nuremberg in January 2008. After half a season
there, he moved to Krylya.
Koller played for Borussia Dortmund in Germany from 2001 to
2006, winning the Bundesliga title in 2002, while his other clubs
include Sparta Prague and Belgian teams Lokeren and Anderlecht.
The 2.02 meter (6 foot 7.5 inch) striker, who has retired
from international football, is his country's all-time leading
scorer with 55 goals.
