Kakuta poised for Dijon loan move
Gael Kakuta claims he is close to joining Ligue 1 outfit Dijon on loan from Chelsea, with his search for regular football set to take him home.
The French winger is yet to convince he is ready for a first-team role at Stamford Bridge, so he is being forced to look elsewhere for gametime.
He took in a spell with Fulham last season and spent the first half of the 2011/12 campaign with Bolton.
Both of those stints left Kakuta frustrated as he once again found himself on the fringes of the fold. He is determined to make amends in 2012 and says he expects an agreement to be reached with Dijon in the near future.
"I made the choice to go to Dijon because I saw them play and they play good football," Kakuta told the Canal Football Club television show.
"Coach Patrice Carteron convinced me. I hope it will be sorted in the next 24 hours. Talks are still going on."
While Kakuta expects to link up with Dijon, reports in France suggest the deal may not be as close as he thinks, with speculation suggesting Chelsea would rather send him to Greek side Olympiakos.
