South Korea forward Ji Dong-won has returned to Augsburg from Sunderland.
The Bundesliga club says Ji received a contract until the end of the season. Ji already played for Augsburg in the second half of last season on loan from Sunderland. This move is permanent.
Ji says he wanted a new club to get more playing time and earn a spot on South Korea's team for the World Cup in Brazil.
Ji says he had a ''super time'' at Augsburg last season and wanted to return to the club.
The South Korean helped Augsburg avoid relegation. The club now sits eighth in the Bundesliga and is one of the surprises of the season.
