Jackson Martinez set to join AC Milan, Porto president reveals

Jackson Martinez has chosen to join AC Milan this summer, according to Porto president Pinto da Costa.
The 28-year-old Colombia international has been widely expected to move to San Siro over the last couple of weeks, with his agent admitting that a deal with the Rossoneri and Porto was "imminent".
Martinez, who has also been linked with Arsenal and Liverpool in recent months, has now seemingly committed his future to Milan and will complete a transfer this summer.
"I have just learned that Jackson Martinez has chosen AC Milan," Da Costa told Porto Canal. "This is what he wants, I just want him to be happy. AC Milan will pay the €35 million ($39 million) clause."
Martinez, who arrived from Chiaspas in 2012, scored 31 goals in all competitions for Porto in 2014-15, including eight in nine Champions League appearances.
He lifted the Primeira Liga title in 2013 and has finished as top league goalscorer in each of his three seasons in Portugal.
The powerful striker is currently on international duty in Chile ahead of Colombia's Copa America opener against Venezuela on Sunday.
