Inter defender Samuel likely out for season

Inter Milan center back Walter Samuel requires surgery after damaging ligaments in his right knee and will likely miss the rest of the season, handing a big blow to the European champion.
Samuel, an Argentina international, twisted his knee awkwardly in the 48th minute of Inter's 1-1 draw with Brescia on Saturday.
Right back Maicon was also injured in the game and Inter said Sunday that he has a muscle strain in his left thigh.
Inter was already without goalkeeper Julio Cesar and midfielders Thiago Motta, Esteban Cambiasso, Dejan Stankovic and Sulley Muntari
