Spain midfielder Andres Iniesta will start in the team's opening World Cup match against Switzerland, who will rely on striker Blaise N'Kufo in place of Alexander Frei.

While Iniesta has recovered from a right leg injury, Cesc Fabregas and Fernando Torres - both returning from leg injuries - were on the bench for the Group H game at Moses Mabhida Stadium.

N'Kufo starts in front of a five-man midfield for the Swiss, who are without record scorer Frei against the European champion after he injured his right ankle before arriving in South Africa.

Striker David Villa will start in front of a five-man midfield of Iniesta, Xavi Hernandez, Xabi Alonso, David Silva and Sergio Busquets, with the latter two making their World Cup debuts.
