How to watch Saturday's Toronto FC vs. Seattle Sounders MLS Cup final in virtual reality

Published Dec. 14, 2016 8:40 a.m. ET

The MLS Cup is on the line this weekend, as Toronto FC host the Seattle Sounders in the final match of Major League Soccer's postseason. Fans can tune into coverage on FOX starting at 7:30 p.m. ET on Dec. 10, marking the first time since 2008 that MLS Cup will air live on English-language network TV.

The milestones don't stop there, though. For the first time ever, fans can watch MLS Cup in virtual reality. FOX Sports and LiveLike have partnered to give fans the power to watch the game in virtual reality via the FOX Sports VR app, with Audi as the presenting sponsor. Even better: No headset is required to dive into the VR. Here are some highlights from the FOX Sports press release:

Accessing the virtual reality experience is simple. Fans can download the free FOX Sports VR app for iOS via the App Store, for Android on Google Play as well as on Samsung Gear VR via Oculus.

It's never been a better time to be a fan of MLS. Toronto and Seattle are both seeking their first-ever MLS Cup, and what better way to witness history than in virtual reality? It's winner-take-all at BMO Field in Toronto, Canada. Don't miss out.
