Holloway: We need a game

The Seasiders have only played once since 27 November - their 1-0 victory. Holloway told the club's official website: "If the snow stops and doesn't come then we might have the chance to welcome one of the most famous clubs in recent history at our place. We need a game because we're all going stir crazy. "We'll be at the training ground on Christmas Day using the snow-clad pitch because you can just about play on it. It'll be the shortest session of the year, basically half a game. "I did, a long time ago now, let one team have Christmas Day off and we had the worst performance ever on Boxing Day, so I'm not ever going to do that again. "They've got to know their own bodies but they'll probably have a traditional Christmas lunch. Hopefully they won't have too much pudding and won't be nibbling, because it's the nibbling that does the damage."
