HJK of Helsinki wins Finnish league title

HJK of Helsinki ended a six-year drought Saturday to win the Finnish league title following a 1-1 draw with Jaro of Pietarsaari in the final round.
HJK winger Dawda Bah equalizerd in the 61st minute after Tillman Grove had put Jaro 1-0 up in the eighth minute.
Honka of Espoo or TPS of Turku could have taken the title on goal difference had HJK lost, but they played out a 0-0 draw.
HJK finished with 52 points, followed by Honka and TPS on 49.
Defending champion Inter Turku was fifth behind IFK Mariehamn, which is from the island of Aland between Finland and Sweden.
