The promoted Seasiders have proved the surprise package of the top flight so far this season, amassing a notable 22 points from 16 games to sit 10th in the standings. Holloway's men are also unbeaten in their last four matches, a run they will be keen to extend when they host title hopefuls Tottenham at Bloomfield Road on Sunday. But while Pool's current position defies what pundits were predicting ahead of the campaign, Holloway is refusing to get carried away and expects the going to get harder. "I knew how good my team was but I didn't know we could play so well and get some of the results we have," Holloway told the Blackpool Gazette. "We must try to maintain our level and that won't be easy. We had the surprise factor at the start. People have seen what we can do now, so it is going to get tougher. "What matters is where we are at the end of the season - where we are now is irrelevant. "What I've found is that if you have two bad results in this division you are in trouble. If you get two good results, everybody thinks you're brilliant. The truth is, you're not - you are somewhere in between, so you have to keep your feet on the ground and keep going." While acknowledging the difficult road ahead, Holloway believes his players have the right character to maintain their good form, but is counting on them to keep their feet on the ground. "My lads won't get arrogant or I sincerely hope they won't," he added. "They know we've done nothing yet and they are the type who keep working hard and doing the right things. "It hurt when people said we'd be the worst team ever in the Premier League. The worst total was Derby with 11 points a few years ago and we've doubled that already. "So that is very satisfying for the players after people were so disrespectful to them. "We have used that as motivation and just tried to play good football and get results."
