Haiti beats Qatar 1-0 in friendly

Jean Junior Monuma Constant scored the only goal to earn Haiti a surprise 1-0 win over Qatar in a friendly at the Khalifa Stadium on Thursday.

The hosts failed to make their superiority count in the first half, although Bilal Mohamad had a goal ruled out for offside on 35 minutes.

Monuma Constant struck the winner in the 53rd after shaking off a defender.

The game was Qatar's final warmup before it heads to the Gulf Cup in Yemen, which begins on Nov. 22.
