Former Hungary international defender Gabor Gyepes has signed a new one-month contract with Portsmouth.

The 31-year-old centre-back has scored four goals in 19 appearances since arriving at Fratton Park in September.

Cash-strapped Pompey are only able to offer players month-to-month deals while they remain in administration.

A number of players are due to be out of contract next week including defender Jon Harley, who is resigned to leaving the League One club.

Harley tweeted: "I'm really disappointed but my Pompey contract will not be getting renewed after Jan 15th. Thank you to all the fans."

Caretaker boss Guy Whittingham has recalled 18-year-old left-back Dan Butler from his loan spell at Havant & Waterlooville, and he could be in the squad for Saturday's clash with Notts County.

Butler has one Pompey first-team appearance to his name, the 3-0 Capital One Cup defeat by Plymouth in August.
