Defender Clarence Goodson, a member of the U.S. World Cup team, has signed a three-year contract with the Danish club Brondby.
The 28-year-old is due to start with the suburban Copenhagen club in January.
The Virginia native played at the University of Maryland, then was with FC Dallas from 2004-07 and spent the last three seasons with IK Start in Norway, where he scored 10 goals in 66 games.
Goodson has two goals in 16 international appearances.
Brondby has 22 points and is third in the Danish league behind Copenhagen and Midtjylland.
