Getafe denies Real Betis three points

A Chechu Dorado own goal denied Real Betis all three points as Getafe held on to claim a 1-1 draw at the Benito Villamarin.
After a largely forgettable first period Jorge Molina put the hosts in front six minutes after the break as he raced onto Jefferson Montero's pass to slam home from just outside the area.
However the lead only lasted three minutes as Dani Guiza turned Juan Valera's cross goalwards and Dorado could only guide the ball into his own net as he tried to clear.
Getafe's injury crisis in defensive positions had forced the club to gain permission from the league to sign Alexis on an emergency loan deal earlier in the week, but even with Miguel Torres, a natural full-back, playing at the heart of the defence Betis rarely troubled the visitors in the first half.
Indeed the best effort came from Getafe as Guiza picked the ball up outside the area and sent a rasping drive towards the top corner that Fabricio did brilliantly to turn behind for a corner.
Ruben Castro had been the two-goal hero as Betis won at Zaragoza on Monday night, but he shot wastefully wide after good work by Montero down the left in the 17th minute.
However, Montero was the one Betis player looking capable of creating and it was he who set up the opener as he received the ball from Juanma and drove at the Getafe defence before feeding Molina to fire past Miguel Angel Moya.
That goal seemed to spark Getafe into life though as moments later Dorado got the last touch to Guiza's effort to take the ball past Fabricio for the equaliser.
And the visitors should have been in front nine minutes later as wonderful combination play between Diego Castro and Guiza sent the former to the byline and his cut-back just evaded Miku in the middle.
Thereafter Getafe failed to threaten and they were grateful to Moya for the point as he first parried a fine long-range shot from Benat Etxebarria before smothering Castro's effort from a narrow angle seven minutes from time.
The draw means that both sides remain in mid-table in the Primera Division, with Betis just a single point ahead of Getafe.
