Jerome Boateng has all but been ruled out of Germany's friendly against the Netherlands because of a groin injury in Bayern Munich's 2-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.

Bayern coach Jupp Heynckes says Boateng has ''most likely a torn muscle'' and that the 24-year-old defender ''will be out for some time for us,'' making the player's participation in Wednesday's friendly in Amsterdam highly unlikely.

Boateng seemed to be in considerable pain when he was substituted by Daniel van Buyten in the 32nd minute of the Bundesliga game. Van Buyten was making his season debut.

Bundesliga leader Bayern is already without defender Holger Badstuber due to a torn thigh muscle, while Emre Can, who has also played in defense, is out with a torn ankle ligament.
