Clint Dempsey secured a point for Fulham on Saturday, scoring a second-half equalizer for a 1-1 draw against Birmingham.
Dempsey headed home in the 53rd minute after Aaron Hughes had knocked the ball into his path at the far post.
Birmingham had taken the lead through Sebastian Larsson in the 19th minute but left Craven Cottage still looking for its first away win of the season. The visitors came close to a winner in the 74th, when Roger Johnson hit the crossbar with a header.
Fulham substitute Eddie Johnson then missed a good chance after breaking clear of the Birmingham defense.
