Victory kept the defending champions one point clear of the Amsterdammers going into the final game of the campaign. Sunday's victory was never in doubt from the moment Luuk de Jong put Twente in front late in the first half. Douglas doubled the advantage before an own goal from Dragan Jelic and a Theo Janssen penalty rounded off an easy win. Defeat, along with victory for VVV-Venlo, confirmed Willem II's relegation. Ajax came from behind to win 2-1 at Heerenveen after finding found themselves a goal down in the 18th minute to Mika Vayrynen's strike. Miralem Sulejmani got the Amsterdammers back on level terms within 60 seconds and Christian Eriksen completed the turnaround in the first minute of the second half. PSV Eindhoven kept alive their hopes of a place in next season's Champions League qualifying round with a 2-1 victory over Vitesse Arnhem. Goals from Marcus Berg and Marcelo saw off Vitesse and ensured PSV can overhaul Ajax for second should they beat FC Groningen in two weeks' time and the Amsterdam giants fail to win. AZ Alkmaar maintained their grip on fourth with a 5-1 win over struggling De Graafschap. Kolbeinn Sigthorsson and Graziano Pelle scored twice for AZ to add to a Brett Holman strike. Peter Jungschlager grabbed a late consolation for De Graafschap, who are now just three points above the relegation play-off places. FC Groningen boosted their hopes of automatic qualification for the Europa League with an impressive 4-2 win at ADO Den Haag. Dmitri Bulykin's two first-half goals - the second from the penalty spot - twice got the hosts back on level terms after first Petter Andersson and Fredrik Stenman had put the visitors ahead. However, Andersson struck again early in the second half before Tom Hiariej sealed the victory four minutes from time to keep Groningen three points behind fourth-placed AZ. Bjorn Vleminckx scored four goals as NEC Nijmegen put a serious dent in the European qualification hopes of Roda JC with a resounding 5-0 win. Remy Amieux scored the other, while Ruud Vormer was sent off for a second bookable offence to add to Roda's woes. NAC Breda are still hovering perilously close to the relegation zone after an eventful 2-1 defeat by Heracles which featured two red cards, a missed penalty and two second-half goals. Matthew Amoah put the hosts ahead in the 17th minute before they were reduced to 10 men just three minutes later when Csaba Feher was given a straight red for a challenge on Everton. Danny Gorter's penalty was saved, which proved crucial when Mark-Jan Fledderus equalised with 20 minutes left and Glynor Plet completed the turnaround five minutes later. Everton was then sent off for a second yellow card nine minutes from time but Heracles held on. Excelsior ensured they will be in with a chance of clambering out of the relegation play-off zone on the final day of the season after an impressive 3-1 victory at home to FC Utrecht. A goal in each half by Geert Arend Roorda sandwiched Roland Bergkamp's 31st-minute strike as the hosts cantered to three crucial points in their battle to avoid the drop. Frank Demouge's late consolation was all Utrecht had to show. VV V-Venlo's Ahmed Musa hit a hat-trick to sink Feyenoord 3-2 and end any lingering fears of automatic relegation. Georgino Wijnaldum and Luc Castaignos scored for Feyenoord.
