Wolves had looked to be heading for defeat at Molineux on Sunday until Steven Fletcher's late equaliser meant they had picked up five points from their last three games as they bid to avoid relegation from the Premier League. With the FA Cup quarter-finals this weekend, Wolves do not have another game until they play Aston Villa on March 19. "The worst thing would have been going into this break on the back of a defeat," Foley told the club website. "That would have been hanging over us all the way through to the Villa game. "Because we got a point we kept the recent little run going and gave us something to build on. We've got nine games to go and the target is to stay up - hopefully we will achieve it. "I'm still very confident we will stay up and so are all the boys. It's all getting very tight down there and maybe one or two others are being drawn into it. "We're going into the business end of the season now and hopefully we will come out above that bottom three after the nine games." Foley believes Wolves must produce more of the fighting spirit they showed against Spurs if they are to stay up. "I think we have to be happy with a point from the Spurs game," he added. "We started well and got in front but Defoe popped up with two great strikes into the top corner and there's not much you can do about it. "We did well to get it back to 2-2 and then again to 3-3 later on. We showed good fighting spirit throughout which is what we always try to do. "And we'll need more of that between now and the end of the season. "We managed to come back twice against a team as good as Tottenham which other teams might not have done so we'll take the positives out of that." Foley has played a lot of his recent football in midfield but returned to his usual right-back slot against Spurs as a result of Ronald Zubar's back injury. He added: "It was nice to be back in that position and a good test given Tottenham's wide players. "And when you think they can bring Bale and Lennon on it shows the strength that they have got. "It was good to come up against them and I just had to remember the differences with playing back in that position."
