Lotus F1 team owner Tony Fernandes says is making a renewed attempt to buy English football club West Ham.
Fernandes was thwarted in an attempt to buy West Ham last year when the east London team was still in the Premier League.
Fernandes writes on his Twitter page that ''an offer has gone to the present owners of west ham. Let's see if they accept.''
The Malaysian businessman adds that he won't discuss the bid further. He did not say how much it was worth.
David Gold and David Sullivan bought the club in January 2010 but have said that last month's relegation to the second-tier League Championship will cost them about 40 million pounds ($65.6 million).
Gold and Sullivan denied that they had received an offer.
