The English Football Association has charged West Ham manager Sam Allardyce with misconduct for criticizing a referee.
After being knocked out of the FA Cup by Manchester United on Wednesday, Allardyce suggested referee Phil Dowd favored the home team.
The FA says Allardyce's comments to the media ''questioned the integrity of the match referee'' and ''brought the game into disrepute.''
Allardyce has until Wednesday to respond to the charge.
