FA charge for Jones and Oatway

Sheffield Wednesday manager Dave Jones and Brighton's first-team coach Charlie Oatway have both been charged by the Football Association for improper conduct during Saturday's Championship tie.

The game had already seen four goals and a red card when Danny Pugh's heavy challenge on Inigo Calderon - and subsequent booking - sparked a furious reaction from the visiting bench.

In the ensuing bust-up, which involved players and staff from both benches, Owls boss Jones was sent to the Hillsborough stands as stewards and police tried to restore order.

The FA announced in a statement on their website: "The charges, both for alleged improper conduct, are in relation to an incident which occurred during the game."

Jones and Oatway each have until 4pm on Friday to respond to the charge.
