A former head of the Serbia Football Association who was sought on embezzlement charges has surrendered to police.
Police say Zvezdan Terzic gave himself up early Thursday after nearly three years on the run. Authorities say Terzic has been placed in detention at a Belgrade prison.
Terzic is accused of illegally receiving about $840,000 when he was the director of OFK Belgrade by selling Vanja Grubic to German club Hamburger SV in 1998.
