Blackburn moved closer to the Premier League relegation zone after losing 2-0 at Everton on Saturday with second-half goals from Leon Osman and Leighton Baines.

Blackburn has now failed to win in nine matches and drops one place to 16th.

Seventh-place Everton is chasing cross-city rival Liverpool, which has one more point and plays Arsenal on Sunday.

Osman's deflected shot broke the deadlock at Goodison Park in the 54th before Baines converted a penalty in the 75th after Phil Jones fouled Seamus Coleman.
