Espanyol striker Pablo Osvaldo will undergo surgery on his left leg and will be sidelined for up to two months.
The Argentine striker tore a muscle in his left thigh during Sunday's 4-0 win over Zaragoza. He scored his team-leading seventh goal in that match.
Osvaldo, who is on-loan from Italian club Bologna, has helped fifth-place Espanyol to a strong first-half start in the Spanish league.
