Elmohamady has impressed during a loan spell this season, adjusting quickly to life in the Premier League. The Egyptian will now get the opportunity to further that development in England, with an agreement having been struck with his parent club ENPPI. Sunderland, excited by the 23-year-old's potential, have moved quickly to tie Elmohamady down on a permanent basis and the tricky winger hopes he is set for a long and successful career on Wearside. "I am very happy to stay with Sunderland for a long time," he told the club's official website. "I like the club and I have done ever since I got here. That is why I stay. Everyone is excellent - the club, players and fans." Elmohamady admits the warm welcome he received upon arriving in the North East has helped him to settle, with everyone connected with the club doing their utmost to make the transition from life in Egypt as seamless as possible. "I like Mr [Steve] Bruce a lot. He has helped me very much since I arrived here and I think he is a good person and a good manager," he added. "My fellow players have treated me well; there is a good feeling in the place. We have excellent players and they are excellent outside the pitch too. "It is a dream for me to play in the Premier League. I have imagined it ever since I was a child. For me it is the best league in the world - strong and quick."
