Owen Coyle has said previously that he believes Elmander wants to stay at the Reebok Stadium beyond this season but the Swede himself has suggested otherwise. Talks over an extension have taken place but nothing has been agreed and Elmander appears unhappy with the club's efforts to secure his future. "I don't feel any obligation towards Bolton," the 29-year-old said in quotes reported by The Sun. "They have had the chance to do something about a new deal. "We've had dialogue but not right now."
