Eden Hazard finally scored his 1st EPL goal of the season
It took until Game 34 for the Premier League's reigning Player of the Year to score his first league goal of the season.
Eden Hazard scored the second goal for Chelsea at Bournemouth on Saturday, ending a Premier League goal drought that has been the butt of jokes for months now. Chelsea fans may not have been laughing, but even the most loyal of Blues supporters cannot possibly stave off a sarcastic smile at the sheer absurdity of this fact.
Not even Chelsea's social media folks could bring themselves to really comment on it:
Back in the team and back on the scoresheet, Hazard picks up a loose ball to skim a shot across the turf to make it 2-0 on 33 mins. #CFCLive

Look at the calendar. It's almost the end of April!
With five games to play a year ago, Hazard had already 13 goals to his credit as Chelsea were rolling toward their second league title in five years. He was 24 and just signed a fat, new five-and-a-half year contract. He was on top of the world. But this season, everything that could go wrong has gone wrong, with Hazard failing to score a goal in any competition until January 31st against MK Dons in the 4th Round of the FA Cup. It was a penalty kick.
The only good news for Hazard: the season is almost over, and at least now he won't finish the league campaign with a giant goose egg.
UPDATE: Wouldn't ya know, Hazard later added a second goal to his game and season tally, finishing from close range to cement Chelsea's 4-1 win over the Cherries.
