Robert Earnshaw has agreed a season-long loan deal with Israeli club Maccabi Tel Aviv after falling out of favour with Cardiff.

The striker - who had not featured for the Bluebirds this season - will link up with his new team-mates, who are unbeaten in the first three matches of their Premier league season.

Jordi Cryuff is the Director of Football at the Tel Aviv outfit who finished third in the league last season and are managed by former Barcelona youth team coach, Oscar Garcia.

"I am delighted with this latest addition," Cruyff said. "The last day of the transfer window always gives pleasant surprises and this is one of them. His goal-scoring record speaks in itself."
