A Dutch soccer player has been fined by his team for partying after a game with fans who appear to be making anti-Semitic chants.
Lex Immers of ADO The Hague apologized on the club's website Monday. He says he got ''carried away in the euphoria'' after the 3-2 victory over Ajax. He adds he was ''not conscious at the time of the insulting tone'' of the chant.
An Internet video appears to show Immers and others standing on a bar while fans chant ''We're going hunting Jews!'' Ajax is identified with Amsterdam's Jewish community.
The team says ''things happened'' at the celebration that the club's leadership ''absolutely condemns.'' The amount of the fine was not disclosed. Dutch soccer authorities also are investigating.
