Dundee United could hand home debuts to on-loan Fulham pair Lauri Dalla Valle and Keanu Marsh-Brown against Rangers. The youngsters agreed to move north before the transfer deadline and are likely to feature against Ally McCoist's side. But United will be without defender Sean Dillon after he picked up a calf injury and he will join skipper John Daly (knee) on the sidelines. Long-term absentee Scott Severin remains on the sidelines with a broken leg. Nikica Jelavic has been ruled out for Rangers due to a knee injury picked up while away with the Croatian national team. Dorin Goian, Sasa Papac and Steven Naismith are also struggling with knocks following international duty but have a chance of making the trip to Tannadice, while Lee Wallace (hamstring), Kyle Bartley (hernia) and David Weir (hamstring) remain on the sidelines. Lee McCulloch (knee) and Kyle Lafferty (calf) have both trained and could be in contention and new signing Matt McKay could make his debut. Dundee United (from): Pernis, Douglas, Dixon, Kenneth, Gunning, Smith, Allan, Flood, Rankin, Armstrong, Robertson, Mackay-Steven, Hilson, Dow, Marsh-Brown, Russell, Dalla Valle, Banks. Rangers (from): McGregor, Bocanegra, Goian, Whittaker, Perry, Davis, Naismith, Edu, Wylde, Lafferty, Bedoya, Ortiz, Kerkar, Fleck, Healy, Alexander, Papac, McKay.
