The driving bans are piling up for the millionaires at Manchester City.

England international Micah Richards has become the third City player in the past two weeks to be hit with a six-month driving ban after failing to respond to two speeding notices sent by police.

Carlos Tevez and Samir Nasri received similar punishments last week, with Tevez also ordered to carry out 250 hours of community service for driving while his license was suspended and without insurance.

Richards admitted to two counts of failing to provide the identity of who was driving his Ferrari, which was clocked speeding in Manchester in September, although he didn't attend his case at Tameside Magistrates' Court on Friday.

Richards' excuse was that he was having difficulties with his post at the time the speeding notices were sent.
