DORTMUND, Germany (AP) Borussia Dortmund midfielder Marco Reus has been ruled out for about four weeks with a left ankle injury sustained while on international duty for Germany.
Dortmund says club doctor Markus Brown diagnosed a partial ligament tear and strained ligaments in the ankle.
The injury, similar to the one that ruled Reus out of the World Cup, was sustained in a challenge toward the end of Germany's 2-1 European Championship qualifying win over Scotland on Sunday.
Dortmund says it expects a four-week recovery period.
Reus will be ruled out of Bundesliga games against Freiburg, Mainz, Stuttgart, Schalke and Hamburger SV, as well as Champions League games against Arsenal and Anderlecht.
