
Diego agrees to loan to Atletico Madrid

Wolfsburg says Brazilian midfielder Diego will move to Atletico Madrid on a season-long loan deal.
The Bundesliga side announced the move on Wednesday, the final day of the transfer market
Coach Felix Magath says, ''I'm convinced Diego will play an outstanding role in Madrid. I wish him all the best.''
The 28-year-old Diego had not played for Wolfsburg since skipping a crucial relegation battle on the final day of last season.
Diego - a ?15.5 million ($22 million) purchase from Juventus - was fined after storming from the team hotel on being told he was a substitute.
Diego scored six goals in 30 Bundesliga games for Wolfsburg. He had a successful spell at Werder Bremen, where he scored 38 times, and provided 31 in 84 league games.
