Barton and Taarabt are renowned for their fiery characters and it is expected to be only a matter of time before their personalities clash. No-one at Loftus Road is complaining, though, with Neil Warnock looking for players to wear their heart on their sleeve. Derry is confident Barton and Taarabt will prove to be valuable members of the squad over the course of the campaign, but insists he will stay out of the firing line once the sparks begin to fly. "I'm going to buy some popcorn and watch the movie unravel, because I'm sure there's going to be fireworks - like there is in every dressing room," he said. "A lot of people are going to make so much of this Barton and Taarabt situation, but we're hopeful it can blossom and there's an understanding there." The arrival of Barton has pushed Derry down the pecking order but, having recently penned a new contract, the 33-year-old is happy to play whatever role is asked of him. He added: "As soon as the season ended, the manager Neil Warnock was very honest with me. "He told me he would be getting more players in my position. "Joey's come in and, if it's Joey in that position, that's the game. "I'm not going to moan about it because I love my job."
