Denmark's football federation says Wolfsburg has loaned defender Simon Kjaer to Roma for the rest of the season.
Roma has an option to buy the Dane.
Kjaer says in a statement from the Danish federation that he is ''very proud and happy.'' He says it is ''a huge chance for me to get to a top club in both Italian and European football.''
The 22-year-old Kjaer started his career with FC Midtjylland in 2008 but transferred to Palermo the same year. He stayed there two years before changing to Wolfsburg.
