Juventus president Andrea Agnelli says this will be captain Alessandro Del Piero's final season for the Serie A club.
The 36-year-old Del Piero is the club's all-time leading goalscorer since joining in 1993 and helped the club win five Italian leagues and the Champions League in 1996.
Agnelli says Del Piero ''wanted to stay with us for another year'' but that the current one ''will be his last year in our colors.''
Del Piero, who is Juventus' most capped player with nearly 700 games, was a member of Italy's 2006 World Cup winning team.
Del Piero hasn't confirmed whether he will retire at the end of the season when his contract expires.
