De Graafschap edge Heerenveen in thriller

BY foxsports • September 17, 2010

Heerenveen went into the clash with a four-point advantage over their rivals and soon took the lead courtesy of Christian Grindheim. Muslu Nalbantoglu pulled a goal back for De Graafschap before half-time and Poepon made it 2-1 three minutes into the second period. Oussana Assaidi equalised six minutes later and it looked like the teams would have to settle for a point apiece. Poepon had other ideas though, and struck a decisive blow six minutes from time. The result lifts De Graafschap to 10th place ahead of the rest of the weekend's games, while Heerenveen stay seventh.
