David Beckham, son Brooklyn involved in car crash near training ground
Retired soccer star and co-owner of a Major League Soccer team-in-waiting David Beckham was involved in a car crash in London with his son Brooklyn on Saturday afternoon, several English outlets report.
The former England midfielder, who starred for Manchester United and Real Madrid before spending some six years stateside with the Los Angeles Galaxy was unhurt, as was everybody else. Beckham was reportedly driving his oldest son Brooklyn, 15, home from a game with Arsenal's under-16 team against Brighton's under-16s. His Audi collided with another car just outside Arsenal's practice facility in Herfordshire.
They were shaken," a source close to Beckham told the Sunday Telegraph. "It was quite a heavy prang at quite a speed but everybody walked away uninjured. Everybody's fine. Thankfully the car's airbags deployed."
All three of Beckham's sons have allegedly played in the Arsenal academy ever since their father brought the family back to Europe following the 2012 MLS season.
Earlier this year, Beckham was awarded a Major League Soccer franchise in Miami, which will begin play at an as-of-yet undetermined time.
