Cahill, who made his senior England debut in September 2010, has long been linked with a move away from Bolton to one of the Premier League's top clubs. Arsenal and Tottenham are among those to have been linked with the 25-year-old but Coyle has received no enquires so far this month and maintains it would be best for the former Aston Villa defender to stay put until the summer. "I have had no dialogue with any manager about Gary Cahill," said Coyle. "The best time for players of that quality to move is in the summer, when they can bed in with a top club." Coyle is hoping to bolster his ranks over the coming weeks and would be "surprised" if nobody comes in before the end of the month. He added: "We're trying to add to our squad. But we have to make sure we bring in the right type of players. "I will be disappointed if we do not bring anyone in before the window closes. "I'll also be frustrated. But most of all I'll be surprised. So that tells you I'm trying to do something."
